La Casa degli Archi is located in the oldest part of the village of Pitigliano, a beautiful Tuscan village perched on a tuff-rock cliff with origins dating back to the Etruscan civilization over 3000 years ago. Pitigliano faces south, overlooking the beautiful Italian countryside of the Grosseto region of Tuscany. Dug out from two old stone houses, this fabulous villa extends over 200 square meters and can host up to six overnight guests. A beautiful entrance parlor with stone tile floors and a large adobe-style fireplace greets every guest with the warmth of home. Off to the right is a large master suite with original two-foot stone casing around the arched doorways, a full bath en-suite and an area for sitting down for some quiet time to catch up on your laptop. Follow the original stone steps to the lovely dining room and large living room with over-sized arched windows overlooking the Tuscan countryside. A charming updated kitchen with range and refrigerator allow guests and owners to cook any favorite Italian dish.

Then take the original stone cave pathway with tiled steps to the second bedroom en-suite with a beautiful bath and a glass-covered lighted hole to show you the original cave of 3000 years ago. The third bedroom is tucked away off the corner of the living room. There is also a sofa bed, central heating, and many modern amenities that enhance La Casa degli Archi without taking away from the history and charm of the villa.

The Village of Pitigliano is quiet and peaceful but affords many incredible architectural wonders, as well as a fantastic museum right in the heart of the village. A 30 to 45 minute drive from Pitigliano reveals fabulous historic villages with souls of their own; a world-class spa complete with mineral swimming pool; and many unbelievable restaurants and cathedrals to enjoy and explore.

Florence is approximately a 3.5 hour drive and the sea is less than 1.5 hours away. Do not miss one of the most enchanting villages in all of Tuscany, its vistas, and the grace of the local residents.
